Drop the 'e' with -ing

Look at these words with the magic 'e' silent 'e' at the end:
make
take
like
leave
blame

We drop the 'e' when we add -ing
make — making
take — taking
like — liking
leave — leaving
blame — blaming
have — having
come — coming
love — loving
give — giving
write — writing (no doubling up of "t" just drop the 'e' with ing)
judge — judging
wrestle — wrestling
shuffle — shuffling
sneeze — sneezing
notice — noticing
excite — exciting
confuse — confusing
manage — managing
fascinate — fascinating
concentrate — concentrating

Exceptions: We leave the 'e' in some words because if we don't, the word can be confused with another word.
singe + ing = singeing (means scorching not singing. You're singeing the shirt with that iron! )
whinge + ing = whingeing (not winging! 'e' keeps the soft g sound. Stop whingeing!)
binge + ing = bingeing (not binging! 'e' keeps the g soft. Stop bingeing on chocolate!)
dye + ing = dyeing I need to stop dyeing my hair because it's dying (not confused with dying = dead)

BUT don't drop the 'e' with be — being, and eye — eyeing

Don't drop the 'e' when a word ends in double 'e': see — seeing, agree — agreeing, decree — decreeing, foresee — foreseeing
guarantee — guaranteeing, flee — fleeing, referee — refereeing, knee — kneeing
