Ordinal numbers


1st = first  This is her first birthday. 
2nd = second He lives on the 2nd floor. / He lives on the second floor.
3rd = third  This is their third birthday.
4th = fourth She came in 4th. / She came in fourth.
5th = fifth
6th = sixth
7th = seventh
8th = eighth
9th = ninth
12th = twelfth
13th = thirteenth
15th = fifteenth
20th = twentieth
30th = thirtieth
80th = eightieth
90th = ninetieth

21st = twenty-first
27th = twenty-seventh
33rd = thirty-third
52nd = fifty-second
106th = one hundred and sixth
222nd = two hundred and twenty-second

Exercise

Notice how the ending 1st/2nd/3rd/ 4th comes from the last two letters of the word = first, second, third, fourth
